Our mission is to ensure that every scholar develops the skills they need to meet or exceed all academic standards. WAVE Prep is a multicultural learning community where scholars develop problem solving skills and cultural awareness while acting with passion and integrity. Our personalized instruction nurtures multiple intelligences and we meet the needs of every child through small group instruction and individualized learning plans using a data driven approach. We have a unified purpose and believe that every child can succeed. As a result, we embrace cooperative learning and collaborate to cultivate critical thinking through effective planning, questioning and a rigorous interdisciplinary curriculum. At WAVE we are all accountable and responsible for every child's academic, social and emotional development; scholars therefore develop the courage to achieve academic excellence while embracing diversity. 

WAVE Prep scholars will graduate with increased readiness for college. Our curriculum, character development, and civil service programs provide scholars with the tools and courage to significantly impact and positively transform the world. 

Our instructional philosophy is that with a solid foundation established through personalization, accountability, and excellence, all scholars will believe and achieve. Our scholars will excel in all subjects; mathematics, science, reading, writing, global connections, and the arts. We envision our scholars developing the critical thinking, problem solving, and 21st century skills needed to compete in an increasingly global economy. In addition, information, media and technology skills are life and career skills that our scholars will acquire at our school to increase their academic readiness for middle school, high school, college and beyond. Our school will serve scholars in grades Pre-K-5 and graduate scholars who are engaged in their community with global awareness and a strong sense of social responsibility.
