- Fountas & Pinnell is a systematic design for high impact literacy instruction. This maximizes scholar learning with lessons, materials and powerful tools that guide educators to form high-impact literacy instruction.
- It is used to help Guided Reading instruction and helps our youngest scholars to become readers.
- Readers must build a system of strategies for processing texts A-Z, which begins with the early reading behaviors and then builds strategies to help readers develop the skills necessary to read increasingly difficult texts.
- Our goal is to support the development of scholars to self-initiate strategies they will be able to use and apply to a range of texts.
